A solar concentrator system has been installed for a full year of energy performance evaluation. Canadian-made in Ottawa, Ontario, the Power-Spar is a solar concentrator that uses a patented system to track vertically and focus the sun's energy, which is converted to space heat and hot water for everyday and emergency use. The system also includes thermal storage to distribute this energy throughout the day, night and in cloudy conditions.
